NASA astronauts Jack Hathaway and Jessica Meir will be participating in a live, prerecorded science education event for students in Missouri. The event, hosted by the University of Missouri Pre-Employment Transition Services, will take place on Thursday, April 30th, beginning at 10:50 a.m. EDT, and will be streamed live on the agency’s Learn With NASA YouTube channel. Students in grades K-12 and members of the community will have the opportunity to submit questions to the astronauts regarding science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) topics.
This initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of space exploration and inspire students to pursue careers in STEM fields. The event is designed to rehearse launch day activities and provide a close look at the Dragon spacecraft that will transport the astronauts to the International Space Station.
